 COMMISSION POLICIES

*** PLEASE READ CAREFULLY BEFORE PLACING YOUR ORDER ***

~*~PORTRAITS & OTHER COMMISSIONS~*~ 
In order to do a portrait commission for you I MUST have a good clear photo of the subject that you wish to have painted. Whether you are wanting just a bust portrait or a full body if the photograph isn't good your portrait isn't going to be either. Photo reference that you send me must be clear of all copyright...meaning they have to either belong to you or you have permission to use it and can obtain proof of permission of use from the person that does hold the copyright to the image. 

Do you have an idea that you would like to see come to life? I can work off of those as well. Just send me a good description of your idea and I will work from there. These can range from a variety of subjects but I prefer that you keep them animal related. I have the right to refuse commissions for any reason before the process begins.  

*I do not do portraits of people.*  Once in a great while if the subject strikes me I may  but more often than not I will say no.  

~*~ REVISIONS AND UPDATES~*~ 
Once your portrait is started I will email you updates as they become available, such as you will see the line drawing before it is colored. It is at this time you can request changes, once I begin the coloring stages it will be too late. Please make sure that it is what you are wanting before hand. 

~*~ PAYMENT & FEES ~*~ 
I accept all major credit/debit cards and paypal. If you wish to send a check or money order please notify me first.  Personal checks must clear the bank before the process begins and/or before your commission will be mailed out. Once you have emailed me with specification or photos of what you are wanting, it is then that you can either pay in whole or make a 50% deposit. No artwork will begin until 50% has been paid down. 

~*~ CANCELLATIONS & REFUNDS ~*~ 
Please understand that should you decide after the artwork has been started that the 50% deposit is NON REFUNDABLE! I must do this otherwise I do not get paid for the time I spent on your commission nor do I get back the material that I used already to begin creating it. If you cancel your commission while it is in the line art stage and have paid in full you will be entitled to a 50% refund. If you cancel your commission and you've paid in full while it is in the color stage you will entitled to a 25% refund. If you cancel  once the commission is complete you forfeit the whole commission price, therefore no refund will be given.  Please make sure that once the commission is finished  if you have not already made the full payment, please do so within 30 days. Otherwise your commission will go up for sale. 

~*~Time Frame~*~
Time frame is hard to guesstimate. It will depend on how many commissions are ahead of yours, how large your commission is, and various other things. I will give you an estimate but know that it is what it is...just an estimate...which will be based on all the factors I've talked about.  As I said before you will be kept up to date with emails and stages of your commission so you know that something is being done to get you the commission you want! Please try to be patient with me as we work together. 

~*~ Rights~*~ 
All rights to any I create I reserve. That includes usage rights. Lots of my paintings I use to make other items to sell such as jewelry, boxes, bookmarks, ect. 

~*~ Shipping~*~ 
I pride myself with giving my customers quality service means not only fine art but also  fast shipping! I know what it is like to wait for something you really want, and so I will ship your item via first class mail within 2-3 business days after its completion. You will be responsible for paying shipment which will be included. Usually this isn't any more that $5.00. I am not responsible for items once they are placed in the mail. Insurance is available for $1.50 if you would like your item insured.
